Plainfield Elementary is one of eight schools in Pennsylvania participating in the Dyslexia Screening and Early Literacy Intervention Pilot Program. This program ensures a universal literacy screener for students in Kindergarten and provides additional literacy intervention to those students in need. Plainfield was very successful during this Pilot Program and had visits from Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera, State Senator Mario Scavello, and State Representative Marcia Hahn. I had the honor to have Mr. Scavello and Mrs. Hahn observe a Pilot Group lesson in 2017.
